Happy Valentine’s Day friends! I’m sharing my front door decor today. I wish I had a photo tutorial of how I made this super easy wreath. But, honestly, I made it about five years ago…way before blogging days…and it is still holding up strong!
Adorable…right? A simple red berry heart. The best part is how easy it was to make. I bought two red berry garlands, like these. It is important that the garland be pliable…you need to be able to bend it and it hold the shape. Twist the two garlands together and shape them in the heart. Then, make the hanger for the wreath by tying raffia to the top bumps in the heart. When hung, the heart shape looks perfect! Easy, peasy!
You can see from this picture that my berries have a crystal-like coating on them. This makes the wreath sparkle in the sunlight…I love that!
Depending on the fullness of your garland and the length of it, you might only need one garland. I used two garlands, each about 3′ long. You could also use burlap or a pretty ribbon to make the wreath hanger. Anything goes, really. I love the imperfect, rustic feel of the heart. It is just kind of “me”.
So, there you have it. A simple red berry heart wreath made from garland. What is your front door decor?
